Faith Green-Timmons is a friend of mine and has my utmost respect. She handled a difficult situation beautifully – prior to his public remarks they had agreed he would only speak about the water distribution work in Flint and thank the volunteers for their work. When he veered off topic, she held him to account, and when people began to heckle him, she stopped them as well. In the weeks that followed she had to have a security detail and change her kids schools, because of threats being made against her and her family.
